Best Things of the Week

- Arctic seal puppets.
- Tasting Seaweed .
- Creating Shells.
- Our backyard fence.
- Pegasus and The Unicorn.
- A visit by Gorgamor the dragon.

This week the 3s have been reviewing their favorite animals of the arctic,  the jungle,  the forrest, and the ones they see everyday in the backyard, as well as the mythical ones (like the unicorn).  The children made arctic seal sock puppets - each with it's own face.   The Bumblebees created seashells out of
macroni shells of different sizes and talked about what animals might have inhabited those shells. They also made backyard scenes populated
by the squirrels and furry things they might see everyday.

Tasty seaweed was tried by the children as well.  All said that the seaweed smelled just like the sea.  However some said the flavor was not for
them. Others thought it was a tasty new discovery.

On Friday they stretched their imaginations and created beautiful, shimmery and feathery unicorns. They also got to visit with Gorgamor the dragon who
played circle games with them and discussed his mythical friends like the unicorn and Pegasus. They even got to see his nose light up with
fire.
