Kindergarten 18th Week Update PDF Print E-mail
Science, Science, Science!!!

Kindergartners had a exciting week full of experiments and demonstrations. As we learned about Arctic animals, we concentrated our studies on Polar Bears. We showed how animals keep warm during the winter months. We experimented with really cold water as we used fur, feathers and blubber. We also decided to extend our knowledge and learned about our friends from the Antarctica: Penguins. We all know by now that these two animals only `see`each other at the Zoo!!!

Our literacy topic this week was an introduction to the differences fiction and non fiction books. Next week, we are going to write our own fiction and non-fiction books.   We are also developing our number sentences stories.   Math has been a strong emphasis in this class, usually involving lots of snacks!!
