Our week started with plenty of LOVE!  We talked about symmetry and made our symmetrical hearts to go on our "Winter Tree".  We also worked on sorting and graphing sweethearts candy.  As a reward, we ate the hearts right up!  At the end of the day, we shared our cards and treats with our friends.  We reinforced the importance of being nice and kind to each other.

To celebrate Presidents' Day, we had an election in class, and John was elected president for the day!  We learned about the important job of our president and also compared two famous American Presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.  We connected these presidents to our current day currency.  The students now have an idea about the value of money.  Watch out how they spend it!!!!
