PreK Robins 17th Week Update PDF Print E-mail
PreK Robins are doing a fantastic job!!!!!
This week we practiced and reviewed many skills that will help us get ready for Kindergarten.
  • Various art projects that helped us with our cutting skills.
  • Our writing skills are making great improvements.
  • Students did a great job remembering past and present sight words.
  • They did a good job of following directions given during center time.
Also this week we learned so many facts about Arctic animals and their habitats. We did a blubber experiment where the children placed one hand in a glove that was insulated with blubber ( Crisco- shortening) to see if they could feel the freezing water. This was an exciting experiment that the PreK Robins enjoyed especially placing their hands in the ice cold water.
Next week we will we will be learning about animals that live in the jungle. We will become explorers of the wild, create beautiful art work, learn interesting facts and eat tasty treats. This is going to be a great week filled with excitement.
What we heard:
Olivia recognized Ms. Pat  spelling the sight word "is" and was very happy to read the word in a book later on that day.
