PreK Robins 18th Week Update PDF Print E-mail
PreK had a jungle fun filled week!!!!!
Skills we worked on this week:
  • Recognizing our friends name.
  • Placing numbers in sequential order (1-20).
  • Writing uppercase and lowercase letters.
  • Worked on demonstrating good sportsmanship using the games musical chairs and hot potato.
This week the PreK class had a blast seeing their classroom transform into a jungle. They enjoyed making monkeys, snakes, and their safari vest.   On Friday, we are going to have a fantastic jungle day. We are going to go on a animal hunt, make safari maps, eat tasty jungle treats and play various jungle games.
Next week we will take a look at all the animals that we have explored and compare those that are the same or different.
Next week we will continue learning our word families, reviewing letter sounds, and using non-standard units to measure various objects around the room.
Colby Twyman helped us put a special twist to an old classic, " The Lion Sleeps tonight", and encouraged his friends to do the same.  Instead of using the animal "Lion" in the song, Colby sang the song with the animal "Sloth."  This made his friends excited and eager to add their favorite jungle animal to the song.
Laila Fowlkes, Olivia Peters, Audrey Wood and Lile Policastro did a great job of standing  in front of their friends and singing their own version of the song.
Three Cheers for PreK!!!!!!!
