At SOCDS we group children based on their anticipated entrance to kindergarten.  If your child is three years before kindergarten they will enter our nursery program,  if they are two years before kindergarten then our 3's turning 4 class is the best fit for them, and then one year before kindergarten is Pre-K. 

There are exceptions to this placement based on the needs of your particular child.   If your child is not thriving in a particular classroom we will work with your family to find a better fit.  If your child is close to the school age cut-off, we usually observe their interactions with children on the older and younger side to see where they feel most comfortable.  These decisions are made together with the teachers and the families to find the best match for your child.
